{"id":2056,"date":"2026-06-25T09:23:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T14:23:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ifssac.com\/blog\/?p=2056"},"modified":"2026-06-25T09:32:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T14:32:44","slug":"peruvian-exports-top-27-billion-us-dollars-in-early-2026-surge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ifssac.com\/blog\/en\/peruvian-exports-top-27-billion-us-dollars-in-early-2026-surge\/","title":{"rendered":"Peruvian Exports Top 27 Billion US Dollars in Early 2026 Surge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism continues its work to strengthen the country\u2019s competitiveness in international markets, helping Peruvian goods exports increase by 33,5% in the first quarter of 2026, reaching US$ 27,217 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth was mainly driven by higher mineral sales (metallic and non-metallic), which reached US$ 19,897 million, a 49% increase, supported by higher international prices for copper and gold, the country\u2019s main export products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other sectors also showed strong performance, fishing exports reached US$ 1,476 million (+21,5%), agricultural exports reached US$ 3,067 million (+7,2%), and forestry exports reached US$ 17 million (+22,3%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the mining sector, the strongest increases came from:<br>\u2022 Lead (+204%)<br>\u2022 Silver concentrate (+89%)<br>\u2022 Gold (+68%)<br>\u2022 Copper (+38%)<br>\u2022 Zinc (+43%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the agricultural sector, the main products were:<br>\u2022 Ethanol (US$ 49 million \/ +100%)<br>\u2022 Coffee (US$ 149 million \/ +51%)<br>\u2022 Fruits (US$ 1,868 million \/ +18%: avocado, blueberry, grape)<br>\u2022 Natural colorants (US$ 99 million \/ +13%)<br>\u2022 Quinoa (US$ 37 million \/ +11%)<br>\u2022 Animal feed (US$ 55 million \/ +7%)<br>\u2022 Chili peppers (US$ 84 million \/ +4%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fishing, squid exports stood out, increasing 101,8% to a total of US$ 273 million. Also notable were exports of frozen and canned fish (US$ 139 million \/ +26,2%), flying fish roe (US$ 62 million \/ +32,4%), and scallops (US$ 40 million \/ +61%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In metallurgy, higher sales of alloyed silver (US$ 59 million \/ +62,3%) and zinc ingots (US$ 97 million \/ +11,3%) were highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the record in 2025 (9 947 exporters), the number of exporters continued to grow in the first quarter of 2026 (+3,9%), reaching 6 052 exporters. Of these, 62% are micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MAIN EXPORT MARKETS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the first quarter of 2026, Peru exported goods to 152 international markets. China, the United States, and the European Union remained the main destinations.<br>\u2022 China: US$ 10 748 million (+43%)<br>\u2022 United States: US$ 2 878 million (+24,1%)<br>\u2022 European Union: US$ 2 238 million (+9,8%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other important destinations:<br>\u2022 India: US$ 2 928 million (+300%)<br>\u2022 Canada: US$ 1 439 million (+45%)<br>\u2022 Switzerland: US$ 861 million (+30%)<br>\u2022 Japan: US$ 885 million (+1,6%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">REGIONAL EXPORTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Exports from Peru\u2019s interior regions also grew by 36.4%, with strong performance in Hu\u00e1nuco (+677,4%), Madre de Dios (+81%), Arequipa (+73,2%), \u00c1ncash (+62,4%), Cajamarca (+58,6%), Puno (+57,9%), Jun\u00edn (+52,5%), La Libertad (+49,7%), Ica (+45,1%), Amazonas (44,8%), Huancavelica (40,9%), Lambayeque (24,7%), Moquegua (+19,1%), Piura (18,8%), Pasco (+16,7%), Ayacucho (+14,9%), Tumbes (13,4%), Apur\u00edmac (+12,7%), Tacna (+9,6%) and Cusco (+4,8%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.pe\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gob.pe\/\">Gob.pe<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism continues its work to strengthen the country\u2019s competitiveness in international markets, helping Peruvian goods exports increase by 33,5% in the first quarter of 2026, reaching US$ 27,217 million.
